Last year at WIPCE in Hawaii it was wonderful to be able to present with colleagues from different dioceses across New South Wales. During the conference we were able to socialise together and create meaningful networks and connections - sharing experiences and resources. Leaving the conference I thought wouldn't it be great if we could arrange to have some Catholic specific events at the next conference in Toronto.
To kick start this, I've created a closed Facebook group that people who are hoping to attend WIPCE in 2017 can join.
I've been thinking about some of the topics I'd like to explore:
- Fostering and supporting strong cultural identities in our students
- Improving educational outcomes within the Catholic education system
- Educating staff about Indigenous issues.
