As a Koori teacher who has worked within Catholic education for the last 17 years, I'm excited and a little nervous to be finally embarking on a further academic journey at Notre Dame.
I have enrolled in a Masters of Philosophy in Education. I'm not 100% certain of my research question yet as I'm still grappling with the course units about research methodologies and heaven forbid - quantitative research. However, I'm fairly certain that my area of study will see me delve further into spirituality. I think I may explore the way that teachers have engaged with Aboriginal Spirituality in their teaching of the Board of Studies' Studies of Religion.
An exciting adventure? Yes
A scary one? Definitely.
